On Thursday August 13th, 2009, the Grey Lodge Pub hit yet another milestone in the Philadelphia beer scene.
They began in 1998 by creating one of the most memorable events, revolutionizing the way cask ale is served. Every Friday the 13th since February 1998, Friday the Firkinteenth®, has packed the house at the Grey Lodge. More than 20 casks are brought in, and by last call they are all nearly kicked. Each cask is handpicked from all over the country, meaning all are top notch. It has been a tradition for over 10 years. For me there is no better place to be in Philadelphia on Friday the 13th.
