Exit 16 Wild Rice Double IPA

The wait is over. Flying Fish Brewing Company has announced the release of Exit 16: Wild Rice Double IPA for mid March.

The beer is named after the exit that leads to the Meadowlands and Lincoln Tunnel in northern New Jersey. “Exit 16 is a fun, flavorful tribute to one of the Meadowlands’ indigenous food sources: wild rice,” says Flying Fish founder Gene Muller. It was brewed with 1,200 pounds of wild organic brown rice and five different hop varieties. Later, it is dry hopped with Chinook and Citra hops giving it a citrus filled nose.

This beer will be available in 750ml bottles and limited draft throughout the Delaware Valley. For more information about Fish Fish, Exit 16 or any upcoming launch events, please visit them online at FlyingFish.com and ExitSeries.com, or call (856) 489-0061.

Celebrity Bartending at La Terrasse

Beginning Monday March 8th from 8-11pm, I will be celebrity bar tending on Monday nights at La Terrasse in University City. For those of you who do not know about La Terrasse, here is a little break down.

Located on Sansom St. in between 34th and 35th streets, La Terrasse houses a very nice selection of craft beer. With the likes of Sly Fox, Yards, Victory, and Dark Horse on tap, and Boulder and Stone in big bottles, this little gem will not disappoint. Along with their selection of beer, they also have a great menu to boast about. With many items on the menu hand made in house, you can't go wrong grabbing anything to munch on. Whether it is their home made veggie burger, daily soups, or chicken marsala, their menu will satisfy any foodie's appetite.

Worried about parking?

Their is always plenty of metered parking on Sansom street and the meters are free after 8pm.

So no excuses, get your butts down here for some great food, beer, and jolly times talking about craft beer!

Cheers!

Boulder, Paper, Scisors...For The Win!

What is Boulder, Paper, Scissors you ask?

It is a spin on the classic game, Rock, Paper, Scissors, that involves Bella Vista Beer Distributor and the Boulder Brewing Company . The catch is, instead of throwing Rock, you now throw Boulder.

This event was first introduced at the Hulmeville Inn back in January and has quickly spread all over the Delaware Valley. Bars such as,Mad Mex and the Grey Lodge Pub, to name a few, have hosted the tournament and have been extremely successful. Each bar usually has one to four Boulder products on draft for the evening, allowing 16-32 people to sign up for the tournament. At steak is a Boulder Variety 12 pack and the chance to compete in the Boulder, Paper, Scissors Finale during Philly Beer Week.

One small detail. You have to come in 1st or 2nd place to be invited to the finale.

The Finale will be hosted at The Grey Lodge Pub on Monday, June 7th from 6-9pm. And what would a finale be without a GREAT PRIZE? To the winner goes a lower level pair of Phillies vs Rockies tickets for a game at Citizens Bank Ball Park.

Now do I have your attention?

There is plenty of time left between now and June. If you are a bar that may be interested in hosting a qualifying tournament, please contact Kevin Romer at 215-514-0379. All you have to do is bring in a few kegs of Boulder and leave the rest to us. For all you competitors out there, practice up. You may just find yourself in the finals.
